For Immediate Release: SCDSA Endorses Pat Hume for Sacramento County District 5 Supervisor
January 11, 2022
Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association, the largest law enforcement labor organization in Northern California, is proud to endorse Elk Grove City Councilman, Pat Hume, in his campaign for Sacramento County Supervisor overseeing District 5.
A native Californian, Pat grew up in Elk Grove before earning his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. Having a spirit of service to his community was ingrained early by both his father, Colonel Harlan Hume, a United States Air Force fighter pilot, and his grandfather, Harry Hume, former Chico City Manager. Pat served on the City of Elk Grove Planning Commission from incorporation until March of 2006 and was elected to the City Council the same year. Pat has been a long-time voice of leadership in our region and is especially passionate about the needs of our veterans.
According to Mr. Hume, “I’m honored to have earned the support of the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.”
“We are endorsing Pat Hume for County Supervisor because he has the experience and ideologies that best support the mission of our membership. We need more people in leadership positions who prioritize public safety out of concern for all of their constituents. Pat knows the history of our region and is the best choice to get it back on track.” -Sergeant Nathan Seger, S.C.D.S.A. President.
